ABSOLUTELY YES! This is the biggest question for pretty much all of our customers. Every wedding package comes with a high resolution digital copy of all of your images. After we are dead and gone we want you to still be able to print a photo from your wedding if needed. All images are deliver at 8×12 at 300 dpi, big enough for enlargements and for creating your own albums if you choose to. I will walk you through how to safely store your images so that they are available for years to come. The only “right” I retain is for advertising and sales purposes. I retain the right to use the photos for promotional and sales needs. You are allowed to email, facebook, twitter and spread your photos far and wide if you choose; you just can’t sell them. If you have questions on this please give me a call.
Don’t worry! Our job is to capture your day and the story that unfolds. You won’t have to worry about us walking out the door at 8 hours if the cake still hasn’t been cut. We use the time-frame on our packages so that both us and our customers have an expectation of how many hours of coverage to expect, however this is not a hard and fast amount of time on either side of the equation. We also know that rarely ever do weddings run exactly on schedule. Our approach to capturing weddings is that one must be flexible and go with the flow; that goes for the time allotment as well. We will work with you ahead of the wedding to work on a timeline that works to match what you have chosen in your package. If things go over by a few minutes we won’t be sending you a bill for extra time; at the same time if the dance floor has been packed for 90 minutes and we have hundreds of dance photos we won’t feel bad about leaving a few minutes prior to the 8 hour time frame. It’s based on a mutual understanding that we are there to do the best job possible in capturing your day. By the time your wedding rolls around we hope to know you well enough to understand whats important to you and how you would like it captured.
That’s totally understandable. I include the engagement session as a value-added service for our customers, there is no price associated with this in my packages. To be honest I do it as much for myself as for my customers. I want the chance to get to know you and work together prior to the wedding day. This is like a mini ice-breaker session. It allows me to get to know you and understand the chemistry of your relationship, and it also gives you a chance to meet me and understand a little about how I work. However this is something that less than half of my customers are able to take advantage of; we can still get to know each other and create a working relationship thru emails, phone calls and skype meetings before the wedding. The package price does not reflect a usage of the engagement session unless otherwise stated.
It’s our way of saying thank you! As life evolves and you find yourself in need of someone to take photographs of the notable times in your lives, we want you to know that you have us in your back pocket. Once you have invested in us to photograph your wedding, we return the investment by making ourselves available upto 2 times a year for anything from maternity sessions to family reunions. The session is free and you only purchase the images you want for print.
This is really dependent on the size of your wedding, your needs and your budget. There is no doubt that a second photographer provides way more coverage and a larger body of work at the end of the day. Some weddings absolutely need 2 photographers, while to have a second at other weddings would be unnecessary and even inappropriate. We suggest a conversation about the specifics of your wedding as a starting point; I will never suggest a second photographer in a situation where I am comfortable doing the job solo. I purposely don’t charge a high premium for my second photographer; I want you to choose whether you need another photographer based more upon the needs of your wedding than an over inflated price for that second shooter.
